Prue Acton OBE cares deeply about the environment and is a proud conservationist. For over 20 years she has been fundraising and working with local conservation groups to help protect the forests and the koalas. She is striving to have all state forests, including her beloved Great Southern Forest, declared reserves or national parks to counter the concept of logging for woodchips and to revitalise the koala and other native fauna populations.
She buys local produce wherever she can and adds to that her own harvest of fruit, vegetables and eggs.
Organised fundraiser ''Tall Trees'' at Museum of Victoria, to create awareness of importance of Victoria's mountain ash and other natural forests.
